Recently while working with a client she told me about something crazy that happened to her, “I kept seeing police waiting to pull people over, so many that it started to frustrate me. I began seeing even more and more, and after a few days of this, I was thinking to myself, ‘I wish one would pull me over so I could ask them if they had nothing better to do.” Granted y’all, we were in a marriage coaching session and her seeing police doing their job was far from the subject at hand.
However; I was intrigued at the significance of this to her and continued to listen. She went on to say “For two more days, I kept hoping one would pull me over so I could ask them if they really didn’t have better things to do. Then I got pulled over for speeding whilst out of town.” She was laughing so I joined in. As soon as we caught our breath, I asked her, “ So did you actually ask the officer if he had nothing better to do?” She laughed again and sheepishly said yes, told me that the officer didn’t like that, and gave her a ticket. I thought she was going to be upset, but she just laughed and told me that she finally understood the power of her thoughts. I giggled and said to her that I’ve had many thoughts turn into things over the years and know that power well!
We went on into our session and ended up using her powerful thoughts to things ability as a homework lesson! She was instructed to be very thoughtful of the way she wanted her marriage to be, and was told to let her mind enjoy the memories of how good it was when they were so madly in love! Our session ended that day but the saga continued because what’s in our mind matters that much.
She called me two days later, CRYING!!! I was very surprised because I thought the marriage coaching was going really well for her. I instantly reflected on our sessions, and pondered any place where I may have missed a clue or sign that things were worse than I had known. Soon enough her sobbing slowed, she caught her breath only to tell me, “ I got pulled over AGAIN! This time it’s not funny at all. I got another ticket and I can’t imagine how my husband will respond.” While I was relieved it wasn’t marriage related, I felt deeply for her being pulled over again.
My client and I talked through her moment of upset and found a way to laugh about the strength of her mind’s manifesting! Just this morning I got a raving text from her confirming that the homework lesson was also working. YAY!!!! She is beginning to see her husband and marriage blossom, return to better days, and more love.
Zig Ziglar once said “ If you think you can, or you think you can’t, You are Right!”
What’s on our mind MATTERS and A LOT. Our thoughts do turn into things; while this can be a little scary it can also be oh so wonderful when we apply intentional thinking, and guide our thoughts to align with our desires!
So give it a go! Think up some great things!
