United Way Care Kid’s Bag Donation

Join Us and United Way in making a better community with Community Cares Kids Bags! They are overnight bags for children going into foster care. These kids are removed from unfit homes with nothing but what they have on, which is often just a shirt, or diaper… it’s so sad. Your contribution helps these kids have the basic necessities for hygiene, health, and comfort. For each $35 purchase, we can create one comfort care bag for these kids.

Over at Dawning Bliss – Tineka Dawn we have been working our tails off on a BIG Charity project.

United Way of South Central Idaho sponsored a huge portion of the project. Their funding only went so far though, with the limitation of the money only being spent on ages 5 to 13.
What are we doing?
Building Community Cares Kids Bags! They are overnight bags for children going into foster care. These kids are removed from unfit homes with nothing but what they have on, which is often just a shirt, or diaper… it’s so sad.
These bags go directly to CASA to gift the children upon removal. They have inside them a teddy bear, blanket, socks, undies, shirt, pants, color book, crayons, toothbrush/paste, bath/body soap, and sponsors along with a hairbrush and comb. These bags and items STAY with the kids and get to move through foster care with them…
Our problem…. we have more than 600 kids on average come into the system each year, that’s close to 2 kids a day with NOTHING. We are 500 bags short of our goal as it sets right now.
United Way had funded just over 100 bags for the 5 to 13 age group, but infants, toddler and teens desperately NEED your help!
Will you help our community be a better place for these kids?
